Challenge

Nova came to us with great gelato but a brand identity that didn’t feel aligned to them. The original logo felt generic. In a market where brands either play it safe or overcomplicate, Nova did neither. It feels premium without being precious, and Italian without being imported.

The typography embody the idea of summer, airy & refreshing feeling. Rounded edges to create a soft visual and more romantic appeal.

About

Nova Artisan Gelato was born from the founder - Simran's obsession with gelato, the real kind. Small-batch, natural ingredients, made fresh. The name comes from supernova: a burst of brightness at the birth of something new. That's the brand in one word.

The old logo said little. The new one says everything subtly. We kept the wordmark lowercase to stay warm and approachable, then introduced an elegant curve on the tail of the 'a' - a little nod to the softness of gelato and the craft behind it. The typography embodies what the brand is: airy, refreshing, fun. Rounded edges were a deliberate choice. Hard angles would have felt wrong for a brand built on something this tactile. The result is a logo that looks considered.

Our Take

Most gelato brands pick a lane: playful or premium. Nova does both and that's the hard thing to design for. The brand pattern (the wave) was our answer. It's bold enough to own a room but flexible enough to live on a cup, a trifle jar, a t-shirt, or a Christmas box. We built a system that could scale from a single scoop counter to a full gifting range without losing its character.

Packaging

The cup was the first thing people hold. It had to be unmistakably Nova. We designed the wave 'N' cup so the brand pattern does the work even without the logo, you know exactly whose gelato you're eating. The full jar range followed the same logic: consistent enough to feel like a family, distinct enough per flavour to have personality. It was a signal of quality before the lid even came off.

Social Media Management

Nova's Instagram isn't a highlights reel. It's where the brand lives daily. From shoots, to campaign ideation and execution - every post is written and designed in-house to the same brand standard as the visual system. 

Nova didn't just get a brand identity. It got a world.
