Challenge
Nandan Coffee isn't just a brand. It's a three-generation family coffee estate at the heart of the Kodaikanal wildlife sanctuary - award-winning, certified organic, single estate. The product had the provenance. The story was extraordinary. The challenge was creating consistency across how Nandan Coffee showed up;from its visual identity and merchandise to its communication, personality, and overall presence online and offline. While the brand had a strong heritage, that story wasn’t coming through consistently across all its touchpoints, making it harder to understand what made Nandan distinct.
About
Nandanvan sits in the Western Ghats of Southern India — a fenceless, organic farm where coffee grows alongside native forests and roaming wildlife. Three generations have farmed this land. Every bean is grown, harvested, and roasted at origin. The result is coffee that carries something most brands can only claim: a genuine sense of place.
Mumbai and Bangalore. Two cities. One estate.

The identity needed to do two things simultaneously: feel like a heritage brand and read like a contemporary one. The strategy was to build one cohesive story across every Nandan touchpoint — from packaging and merchandise to menus, spaces and social media. Every design decision was made to communicate one thing: this coffee has a story worth reading before the first sip.

Our Take
Nandan’s story was already in the estate — its land, family and craft. We brought that story to life through details like the topographic map of the estate, turning provenance into something you could actually see and explore. The idea was to make the brand feel discovered, not just communicated.

The brief for packaging was simple: the bag should tell the whole story. The front carries the award-winning credentials and the map of the estate. The back - the brand story - leads with place, not product. Because the place is the product.
Organically grown, washed with harvested rainwater, roasted on solar energy, sealed in recyclable packaging. Every detail is on the bag because every detail matters. Each blend with it's own colour & animal from the estate - and on the shelf Nandan owns its space immediately.
